What Happens if Axis Bank RTGS Transaction Is Not Processed on Time?
If an Axis Bank RTGS transaction is not processed on time, the bank is liable to pay penal interest to the affected customer. This interest is calculated at the current RBI LAF Repo Rate plus 2% for the period of delay or until the date of credit or refund.
This generally happens when the NEFT transaction does not get credited or returned within 2 hours after batch settlement or the RTGS transaction does not get credited within 30 minutes from the receipt of credit.
