Go through the following steps to register to ‘SIBerNet’ or South Indian Bank Net Banking

  • Step 1: Visit the official website of South Indian Bank and navigate to ‘Online Banking’. 
  • Step 2: Click on ‘New User Registration’ and enter your 16-digit account number and the mobile number registered with that account and press ‘Submit’. 
  • Step 3: You will receive an OTP on the registered mobile number. Enter the OTP and press ‘Submit’. 
  • Step 4: Enter the card details of the account and click on ‘Submit’. 
  • Step 5: Enter your preferred user ID, login password and transaction password. 

With that, you have completed the activation and the registration process. Now you can proceed to log in.

Follow the steps below to log in to your ‘SIBerNet’ account: 

  • Step 1: Visit the official website and click on the ‘Login (Existing Users)’ option under the ‘Online Banking’ tab. 
  • Step 2: Click on the ‘Continue to Login’ option and enter your user ID and password. 
  • Step 3: If it is your first login you have to change your login password and transaction password.

How to Reset South Indian Bank Net Banking Password?

If you have forgotten your ‘SIBerNet’ login password, you can easily reset it online. Follow these steps if you need a password reset: 

  • Step 1: Visit the SIBerNet login page and click ‘Forgot Password’. 
  • Step 2: If you have an SIB Debit Card, press ‘Continue’. 
  • Step 3: Enter your user ID and account number. 
  • Step 4: Enter card details.

  • Step 6: Enter the new password you want for the internet banking account. 

For personal users there is no service charge for a password reset, however, for corporate SIBerNet customers and retail customers with no debit card, there is a deduction of ₹100 plus tax. 

How to Check South Indian Bank Account Balance Online?

There are various options available for checking account balance without visiting the bank including Net Banking, Mobile Banking or Whatsapp Banking. Here’s how you can check your South Indian Bank account balance online: 

1. Net banking 

  • Step 1: Visit the SIBerNet Login page
  • Step 2: Enter your user ID, password and captcha to log in. 
  • Step 3: Go to the ‘View Account Details’ option and click on ‘Check Account Balance’ to see the available balance. 

2. Mobile Banking 

  • Step 1: Download the SIB Mirror App (the mobile banking app of South Indian Bank). 
  • Step 2: Log in using your MPIN or your registered mobile number. 
  • Step 3: Go to the ‘My Accounts’ option and click on ‘View Account Balance’ to see the currently available balance. 

3. Whatsapp Banking

How to Transfer Money via South Indian Bank Net Banking?

The procedure of a fund transfer depends on the type of transaction. Here are several types of fund transfers you can do with South Indian Bank net banking and the steps required to do so: 

1. Self Fund Transfer 

Follow these steps below for transactions between your own SIB accounts: 

  • Step 1: Visit the official net banking website of South Indian Bank. 
  • Step 2: Navigate to ‘Fund Transfers’ and click on ‘Self Fund Transfer’.  
  • Step 3: Select ‘My Debit Account’ or ‘My Credit Account’. 
  • Step 4: Enter the amount, transaction date, frequency type and remarks. 
  • Step 5: Click ‘Continue’.

You will land on the Preview Confirmation Page. 

If you are a retail customer you can complete the self-fund transfer by submitting the transaction and if you are a corporate customer you have to authenticate it by providing a transaction password and OTP. 

2. Third Party Fund Transfer 

To transfer funds to other SIB accounts, follow these steps: 

  • Step 1: Visit the official net banking website of South Indian Bank.
  • Step 2: Navigate to ‘Fund Transfers’ and click on ‘Third Party Fund Transfer’.
  • Step 3: Choose between instant Payee/Beneficiary and registered SIB Payee/Beneficiary. 

i. For Instant Payee/Beneficiary: 

  • Step 1: Select your Debit Card.
  • Step 2: Enter the account number of the instant Payee/Beneficiary. 
  • Step 3: Confirm account number, frequency type (‘recurring’ is not available for instant Payee/Beneficiary), transaction amount, date and remarks. 

By choosing a transaction date, you ensure that the fund will reach the beneficiary on that specific date. 

ii. For Registered SIB Payee/Beneficiary: 

  • Step 1: Under the ‘Fund Transfers’ section you will find ‘Add or View Payee/Beneficiary’. Register the SIB payee in that section.  
  • Step 2: Select Registered Payee/Beneficiary, your Debit account, transaction amount, date, frequency type (‘one time’ or ‘recurring’) and remarks. 

With recurring frequency type, you can specify the time interval and number of intervals of a transaction. 

3. External Fund Transfer 

To transfer funds to other banks, follow these steps: 

  • Step 1: Visit the South Indian Bank net banking website. 
  • Step 2: Navigate to ‘Fund Transfers’ and click on ‘External Fund Transfer’.
  • Step 3: Before making NEFT or RTGS payments, you have to register as a Payee/Beneficiary. 
  • Step 4: Select your Debit account and registered payee. It will take 4 hours of cooling period before a payee will appear on the list. 
  • Step 5: Select NEFT or RTGS (If your transaction amount is over ₹2 lakhs then you can only select RTGS). 
  • Step 6: Select the transaction amount, frequency type and transaction date to complete the fund transfer. 

i. 24×7 Fund Transfer

Follow these steps to use Immediate Payment Service (IMPS) for transferring funds electronically across banks anytime you require: 

  • Step 1: Visit the South Indian Bank net banking website.
  • Step 2: Navigate to ‘Fund Transfers’ and then select ‘IMPS Using IFSC code (24 x 7)’. 
  • Step 3: Enter the Debit Account number and select registered Payee/Beneficiary. 
  • Step 4: Select the transaction amount, provide remarks, and beneficiary reference and click ‘Continue’. 
  • Step 5: Complete the fund transfer by entering OTP (whenever required) and transaction password. 

ii. Fund Transfer to VAN 

VAN or Virtual Account Number is a reference number that can represent a beneficiary account number. Only for NEFT transactions from other banks to South Indian Bank virtual accounts, the VAN system is available. Here are the steps you can follow to do VAN transfer: 

  • Step 1: Log in to ‘SIBerNet’ and navigate to ‘Fund Transfer’. 
  • Step 2: Click on ‘SIB Virtual A/c Fund Transfer’. 
  • Step 3: In the VAN transfer page, enter the transaction amount, and credit account number (VAN), choose the debit account number, provide remarks and click on ‘Continue’. 
  • Step 4: When you enter the VAN you will see the beneficiary virtual account name appear on the screen for verification. Click ‘Continue’ if the details are correct. 
  • Step 5: To complete the fund transfer, enter the transaction password and OTP. 

You do not need to register a beneficiary to the system for VAN transactions through South Indian Bank online banking

How to Pay Credit Card Bills via South Indian Bank Netbanking? 

You can pay your Credit Card bill through various payment methods. Here are the methods and steps you need to follow to make the payment: 

Internet Banking 

  • Step 1: Visit the SIBerNet Login page
  • Step 2: Enter your user ID, password and captcha to log in. 
  • Step 3: Enter your credit card details. 
  • Step 4: Enter the payment amount and click on ‘Submit’. 

Auto Debit 

  • Step 1: Log in to your SIBerNet account and choose the minimum amount due. 
  • Step 2: Set the due state for credit card payment. 

Every month on that date your amount will get debited. 

Immediate Payment Service (IMPS)
