The EPF i Grievance Management System (EPFiGMS) is an online platform designed for EPF members to submit and track grievances conveniently. This portal enables registered EPF subscribers to file complaints, queries or concerns related to their EPF accounts from anywhere. Once a grievance is lodged, it is forwarded to the appropriate EPFO office or department for resolution. Read on to find out all about what the system entails.

What Is the EPF i Grievance Management System?

It is an online platform that has been launched by the EPFO (Employee Provident Fund Organization) to streamline the process of addressing grievances in relation to EPF accounts. This kind of system streamlines the process for employers, pensioners and EPF members to launch their complaints. The system aims to provide both accessibility and transparency in their services.

Benefits of Using the EPF i Grievance Management System

Here is a list of some of the advantages that the EPFiGMS platform provides:

  • Get transparency regarding the whole process by tracking your grievances
  • Experience convenience by being able to lodge a complaint from anywhere in the world
  • Achieve a quicker resolution as compared to what you get from a natural submission

Who Is Eligible to Register for a Grievance?

The entities who are eligible for registering a grievance are:

  • EPF Members
  • EPS Pensioners
  • Employers
  • Others

Steps to Register EPF Grievance Online

Here is a step-by-step guide on registering for an EPF Grievance online:

Step 1: Visit the Official Portal of EPFiGMS

First, you need to visit the official EPF Grievance Management System portal.

Step 2: Select the Option of ‘Register Grievance’

After the homepage loads up, look out for the option ‘Register Grievance’ and click on it. This will lead you to a page where you have to enter the user type. There will be 4 options:

  • Employer
  • EPS Pensioner
  • PF Member
  • Others

Step 3: Enter Details Required

Once you have selected the user type, enter your UAN (Universal Account Number). The employers and pensioners will also have to provide other relevant details about their account such as their address, name, phone number and email ID.

Step 4: Choose the Grievance Category

Next, you will have to select a category of your type of grievance. Here are a few of such common categories:

  • Transfer problems concerning EPF
  • Issues related to pension
  • Settlements or PF withdrawal issues
  • Issues concerning contributions towards EPF and passbook update

Step 5: Give a Detailed Description

After you select a grievance category, you need to enter a detailed description concerning your issue. This is the most vital part of the whole process and hence explains clearly the problem that you face. Be precise when describing the problem and also include important dates and transaction details as required.

Step 6: Provide Supporting Documents

If you have supporting documents like claim forms, transaction receipts or any kind of correspondence with EPFO, then you can attach them. By uploading these documents, you will be effectively speeding up the process. This is because the grievance team of EPFO will have all the needed information to determine your grievance.

Step 7: Submit the Form

After you are done filling out all of the required information, attach all the documents. Make sure to go through your submission once before submitting. Post-submission, you will receive an acknowledgement number. Keep a note of this number as that will help in doing an EPF i Grievance Management system status check.

How to Track the Complaint Status on EPFiGMS?
