What do People do on Akshaya Tritiya?

As per Hindu Mythology, lord Krishna once visited the Pandavas when they were on their exile. Draupadi felt unprepared and thought she wouldn't be able to feed him. She asked for forgiveness at which shree krishna from the food bowl, ate a single herb and felt satisfied with their devotion. He gave the Pandavas the Akshaya Patra that is actually a bowl that never ran out of food.
