Benefits of NetBanking

NetBanking comes with different benefits, some of them are mentioned below-

Convenience-

Netbanking is a convenient option as basic financial transactions like bill payments, fund transfer can be done easily anytime.

Easy Fund transfer:

Instant fund transfer online within two accounts held at the same bank or other banks. Services like NEFT, RTGS or IMPS can be used to transfer funds between two accounts with minimal or zero-charges.

Managing different accounts-

Consumers can open, close or manage different accounts online with netbanking from saving account, fixed deposit account to recurring deposit accounts. They can also monitor their accounts on a regular basis.

Online Bill Payment:

One of the most common advantages of online banking is online bill payment. Making bill payment through cheques required writing them or filling forms which is time taking.  Instead of this online bill payment just requires you to set-up an account and within a few clicks payment is made.

Disadvantages of NetBanking:

With the above advantages, netbanking also has some drawbacks to it as well. Here are some of the them outlined below-

Technical Issues:

NetBanking is a good option in several ways but depends on internet connection. In case of power outage or server down situation there might be a problem in connection and you are not able to access your account.

Security Issues:

Banks take different security measures for online safety such as encryption and two-factor authentication. Internet banking is always at risk to cyber attacks such as phishing emails, hacking, etc. These cyber threats can compromise users' financial details.

Inefficient at Complex Transactions:

Internet banking has a drawback when it has to complete complex transactions. Users who expect personalized services can lack face-to-face interactions. The facility is full based on bots and not humans so it is not as good for them who need human support.

No Relationship with Personal Banker:

In traditional banking, you visit a bank and build a relationship with a personal banker who helps you in every financial  transaction. On the other hand, in netbanking you’re dealing with an anonymous customer service agent. If you need any financial advice or help a personal banker can be of help than an online banking support agent for some users.

Inconvenient for some users:

Traditional banking used to be simple but netbanking is somewhat challenging for users who are not familiar with this technology or who are older in age. These users find online banking difficult and have issues when accessing their netbanking account.
