How Much Has the SBI FD Interest Rate Changed from 2022 to 2026?
Author Updated on Mar 26, 2026
The SBI FD rates have changed a lot since 2022. The major reason why the fixed deposit rates change is the fluctuation in RBI’s repo rate. This fluctuation impacts the cost of funds for banks, hence the movement in fixed deposit rates. Over the period from 2022 to 2026, SBI implemented multiple rate changes on retail domestic term deposits, aligned with shifts in RBI policy rates, inflation trends, and liquidity conditions. Currently, SBI FD rates are between 3.05% and 7.05%.
Let us look at how SBI’s fixed deposit rates have changed over time and what that means for current investment decisions.
Revised Fixed Deposit Interest Rates in SBI from 2022 to 2026
Most Indian banks adjusted their fixed deposit rates in May 2022 once following the updated policy guidelines of the Reserve Bank of India. SBI was one of those banks, and even later, throughout the period 2022-2026, the bank further revised the fixed deposit interest rates.
