Latest Update: NHAI has introduced a new scheme for frequent travellers i.e. FASTag Annual Pass which is available for purchase. This pass cost around 3000 with one year validity or 200 trips (whichever comes first) for private vehicles.
FASTag Meaning
FASTag is an RFID tag used for making toll payment easily as it deducts the payments directly from the linked bank account. It is fixed on the vehicles windscreen which make sure that vehicles don’t have to stop for toll payments resulting in avoiding traffic and saving fuel. These toll charges are directly deducted from the linked bank account.
How to Recharge a FASTag?
FASTag recharge is possible both online and offline Here are different ways on how to recharge FASTag Online-
UPI Recharge
Here is how to recharge FASTag using UPI-
- Open UPI App
- Login to your UPI app
- Go to recharge and bills
- Click on FASTag recharge
- Select your FASTag bank
- Enter vehicle number and other details
- Enter the amount to recharge
- Click on proceed
- Select the preferred payment method
- Enter the UPI PIN
Now, you will receive a message to inform you about successful recharge.

Issuer Bank Portal
Here is how to recharge FASTag using any issuer bank portal-
- Visit the bank’s website
- Login to Net Banking
- Select FASTag Recharge option
- Click on “Add Money/Recharge” option
- Now enter the amount
- Select the payment method
- Now, complete the recharge transaction instantly.
Once complete, you will receive a message to inform you about successful recharge.
My FASTag App
Here is how to complete FASTag recharge using FASTag App-
UPI Recharge
- Click on UPI recharge on FASTag App
- Select bank which you purchased the FASTag
- Enter the vehicle number
- Follow the steps mentioned in the app
Now, you can recharge your FASTag using UPI
Wallet Recharge
- Click on wallet recharge on FASTag App
- Now select the bank from you purchased the FASTag
- Enter the vehicle number
- Follow the steps mentioned in the app
Now, you can complete your FASTag recharge with e-wallet
Log on to Bank Portal
- Select the Bank Name on the FASTag App
- Now you will be redirected to the bank FASTag recharge or netbanking page
- Login using credential for making the recharge.
- Follow the steps mentioned and complete the recharge
Bharat BillPay
Here are the steps to complete your FASTag recharge using bharat billpay-
- Login into Bharat BillPay portal on the FASTag App
- Select FASTag option to recharge,
- You will be redirected to BHIM / UPI / Debit/Credit card or Net Banking for processing the recharge.
Once you make payment, recharge is complete
Recharge through Cash at Toll Plaza
Here is how to complete your FASTag recharge using cash at toll plazas-
- Customer can directly approach the point of sale at a toll plaza
- Make the recharge by paying in cash
- An executive on point of sale top-up the customer NETC FASTag account with that amount paid in cash.
Once payment is complete, a confirmation message will be sent to the registered mobile number.
