What Is the PNB FD Form?

Punjab National Bank offers multiple FD scheme options to its account holders with interest rates ranging from 3.50% p.a. to 8.05% p.a across tenures. The money one deposits in a PNB FD account will stay safe for the tenure of the FD and will earn interest according to the interest rates. To invest in such a secured investment avenue, one has to open an FD account by filling up the PNB FD form.    

How to Download the PNB FD Form?

Follow these steps to download a PNB FD form and invest in one of the safest investment options: 

  • Step 1: Visit Punjab National Bank’s official website
  • Step 2: On the menu bar, navigate to the right side and click on the ‘Download Forms’ option. 
  • Step 3: In the new window, you will find the ‘Fixed Deposit Opening/Renewal Form’ option under the ‘Account Opening Form’ section.
  • Step 4: Once you click on it, the PNB FD form will open in a new tab. 
  • Step 5: On the top right corner you can find a ‘download’ icon beside a ‘print’ icon. Click on it to download your FD form. 

For NRIs, there is a different form. Under the 'Account Opening Form' section, you can see '(FEX-112) Account Opening Form for Non-Resident Indians (Single and Joint) Saving Fund/Current Account/ Fixed Deposits'. Follow the same procedure to download the form. 

PNB FD Form for Old Customers

Here are some of the important details that you need to specify in the Punjab National Bank FD form: 

  1. Fill in basic details such as your name, address, and bank details, without any error. 
  2. Select any one of the payment details (RTGS/NEFT, Cheque, draft, UTR no.).
  3. Fill in the fixed deposit tenure in terms of months. 
  4. Provide repayment instructions. The available repayment options include ‘First Applicant’, ‘First Applicant’ or ‘Survivor’.
  5. Choose a deposit option among cumulative or non-cumulative.
  6. Select the mode of dispatching the FD certificate. You can choose a suitable option from courier/post/broker/hand.
  7. Provide taxation instruction. 
  8. Paste your recent colour passport-size photograph and sign across it.  
  9. Go to the second page and provide bank details for the nominee and repayment details. 
  10. Put your signature in the appropriate spaces in the application form. 

Now, you can submit this duly filled form along with a cheque/draft along with the self-attested copies of KYC documents at the PNB branch. After the verification is complete, the bank will dispatch the certificate to your address and send you a confirmation SMS to the registered mobile number. 

How to Book FD with PNB FD Form?

Follow these steps to book a FD with a PNB FD form: 

  • Step 1: Visit your nearest PNB branch with all the relevant documents that you will need to open an FD account. 
  • Step 2: Download a PNB FD form from the official website and fill it out. In case of any confusion, you can ask a bank representative to help you with the process after obtaining an FD form from the bank counter.
  • Step 3: Sign the application form and attach all the documents before submitting it. 
  • Step 4: After the verification process, the bank will open an FD account in your name. 

How to Fill the PNB FD Form?

You can fill out the PNB FD form after you download it from the official website of the bank or after receiving it from the bank. Upon obtaining the form, you have to carefully enter details like your name and customer ID. Do not forget to leave a space between your first, middle, and last name. While filing the form, enter your account details and FD period accurately so that the bank can process your request smoothly without any confusion.  

Documents Required with FD Form to Open PNB FD 

Here is a list of documents individuals and non-individuals will need to open FD with Punjab National Bank. 

1. Documents for Individual Fixed Deposit

Resident Indians need to furnish these documents: 

  1. Self-attested copy of PAN card, Aadhar card, Driving licence, Voter ID card, NREGA card, and Passport
  2. One latest colour passport-size photograph 

Non-resident Indians need to provide the following documents: 

  1. Self-attested copies of passport (first and last four pages)
  2. Valid address proofs (Indian and overseas) 
  3. Valid Residence permit/work permit/Residence visa/employment visa

2. Documents for Non-Individual Fixed Deposit

Partnership firms need to present these documents to open a PNB FD account: 

  1. PAN card copy of the firm
  2. Declaration of partnership by partners 
  3. Specimen signatures 
  4. Letter from partners to open and operate the account
  5. Name and address of partners 
  6. Passport-size photographs of all partners

Co-operatives societies, Co-operative Banks, and Public and Private Limited Companies have to offer the following documents: 

  1. Copy of Resolution of Investment 
  2. Copy of Memorandum and d Articles of Bye-laws/Association 
  3. Specimen signatures
  4. Address proof, PAN card, and photograph of signing authorities 

Clubs, Associations and Trusts need to submit these documents: 

  1. Specimen signature of authorised persons
  2. Address proof, PAN card, and photograph of signing authorities 
  3. Certificate of Incorporation
  4. Trust’s address proof, PAN card copy 
  5. Registration certificate 
  6. Trust deed
  7. Copy of Resolution of Investment
