Step 1: Locate the nearest Aadhaar enrolment centre in your area by visiting the UIDAI website and visit the centre during working hours. 

Step 2: Complete the enrolment form and submit it with supporting documents such as proof of identity, address and age.

Step 3: After all of your submitted documents are accepted, provide your biometric data, such as fingerprints, an iris scan and a photograph.

Step 4: Now, collect the acknowledgement slip consisting of the 14-digit enrolment number.

Step 5:  You will receive your Aadhaar card by post after the verification of all details. It will take a maximum of 90 days to receive the Aadhaar card.

Who Can Apply for an Aadhaar Card?

  • Indian residents are eligible to apply for an Aadhaar card.
  • Non-residents who have stayed in India for 182 days or more in the past 12 months can also apply.
  • Parents or guardians can apply for a Baal Aadhaar for children below 5 years of age.

How to Download Your Aadhaar Card?

Step 3: Fill out the CAPTCHA code, and select the ‘Request OTP’ button.

Step 4: Enter the OTP you have received on your mobile number and click on the ‘Download Aadhaar’ option.

Step 5: Your digital Aadhaar card will be downloaded.
